Choosing how to work with freelancers
At WorkGenius, our goal is to help you manage your projects successfully and smoothly. There are different ways to work on our platform, each one with its own benefits.
Bookings
Bookings, on the other hand, are more open-ended. For bookings, you can look to bring in one or more freelancers over a specified period of time and remain in constant communication with them until the booking is complete.
Examples:
Looking for a Marketing Manager for a period of 3 months, or: Seeking a Senior Front-End Developer for website relaunch.
Bookings are ideal for complex or long-term jobs that require one or more freelancers. You can also use bookings to temporarily fill a vacant, fulltime position.
When you set up a booking, our technology will suggest the most qualified candidates we can find�you select one or more of those candidates for the job.

Bring Your Own Freelancer (BYOF)
"Bring your own Freelancer" lets you hire freelancers that you�ve worked with before, and integrate them into your WorkGenius workforce. That way, you can manage all your freelancers in one place and on a single interface, allowing you hire them again in the future.

Direct Collaboration
"Direct Collaborations" is a feature you can enable for select freelancers. It allows them to send you payment requests outside of an active booking, and within the budget of any cost centers you have set up.
NOTE: �Direct Collaboration� is a replacement for the old manual payment request we had previously.

Whether you�re looking at a result-based project or a booking, you always have the choice between leveraging our algorithm to match you with the best talent, or picking freelancers manually from a team of �experts.�
Our fully automated matching algorithm gives you access to our verified and vetted workforce�without a lengthy recruitment process. WorkGenius technology analyzes your projects for requirements and success criteria, and then automatically matches them with qualified experts.
Already know who you want to work with on your project? Manually assign your project directly to a single freelancer you know, or a team you have created. This way you can assign your jobs directly to specific people, instead of letting our algorithm do the matching. It�s all about flexibility.
