How to get paid

With WorkGenius, you receive payments within 28 days (this does not include W2 payments in the US, those are paid out weekly) of a project being completed, regardless of your client’s payment terms.

By working with Hyperwallet, we can ensure that our workers are paid promptly. Invoicing is automated, so there is no additional administrative work for you. 

Payment process 

Once you have entered hours worked into a timesheet and sent the payment request to your client, they will need to approve it. After your payment is cleared, it will be paid to your Hyperwallet account within 28 days (those does not include W2 payments in the US, those are paid out weekly). From there you can easily transfer the amount to your bank account. The corresponding invoice is automatically created by our system and is available to you as a PDF, within the next month. 

In the "Payouts" section, you need to provide all relevant information as this will be required and used for the preparation of tax-related receipts. The required information includes:  

  • Personal details: enter your full name and date of birth 
  • Legal information: indicate if you are an individual or a registered business 
  • VAT Declaration: if you have a VAT ID/tax number, be sure to enter it in the field provided 
  • Billing Address: enter the relevant address for your invoice 


With WorkGenius, you don't need to issue invoices because they are automatically generated by our system. Your tax-relevant receipt is created in the month following the payout and is then available to you as a PDF, under "Payouts". 

Please note that invoices cannot be corrected retrospectively. 

Hyperwallet account 

To receive your payment, you need to create and activate a Hyperwallet account.  

  1. Go to the "Payouts" section of your WorkGenius account and click on "Go to Hyperwallet" 
  2. You will be redirected automatically and can create your Hyperwallet account 
  3. You will then receive an activation email from Hyperwallet with a link to get started 


To verify your Hyperwallet account, you need to confirm your identity. 

The following information may be required for verification. Please note that all information provided must match the information in your Hyperwallet profile. 

For ID documents 

  • Name (first, middle, and last name) 

  • Date of birth (format: MM/DD/YYY) 

  • Validity (expiration date) 

For proof of address documents  

  • Name (first, and last name) 

  • Address (street, apartment, city or town, and postcode) 

  • Must be current (no more than 90 days) 

The following documents are acceptable as proof of address:  

  • Utility bills (e.g., gas, electricity, water, internet) 

  • Bank or credit card statements 

  • Tax assessment notices 

  • Local government letters confirming the address 

If everything checks out, the submitted documents will be verified by Hyperwallet within 2 business days–but usually the process takes no more than a few minutes.  

If more information is required for verification, you will receive an email from Hyperwallet. This would mean that the process may take longer. 


You can transfer your Hyperwallet balance to any bank account at any time by following these steps:

  1. Click Transfer in your Hyperwallet account 
  2. If you are transferring to a new account, select "Add new transfer method" 
  3. Select the country and currency of the bank account to which you want to transfer the amount 
  4. Select the transfer method and click "Next" 
  5. Enter the required bank account information. Please check carefully that all bank details are correct, as incorrect data can cause significant delays in the transfer 
  6. Please check all data again and then click "Confirm" 
  7. If currency conversion is required to complete the transaction, the currency conversion details will be displayed Payout 

Please note that it takes 1-3 business days for the funds to be credited to your account. For the monthly account transfer, you will be credited €1 by WorkGenius, to ensure that you incur no transfer charges.
