Received a payment request?
Your freelancer has been working well with you and they just submitted their first payment request. Now it’s time to process this request and pay for their work.
To begin, open your WorkGenius account and go to payment request, directly from the homepage.
- By clicking show details, you can review the freelancer’s timesheet
- If something isn’t right, you can put the payment request on hold–but please make sure to explain your decision. The freelancer can then edit their payment request and resubmit it
- If you’re happy with the timesheet, you can approve the payment.
There are 3 options to initiate the payment:
Main Wallet: this is the default selection. If you have enough money in there (known as your spending limit), you can accept and pay the freelancer.¹ This amount would then be deducted accordingly
Individual Wallets: if you’ve set up different budgets for different projects, or different departments within in your company, you can choose to pay your freelancer via any of those individual wallets: just click on edit, to the right side of your dashboard. You can now select which wallet you want to pay with
Pay now: you can always pay the amount due directly. Select that option and enter your payment details to complete a one-off payment
Once you approve payment, the amount is automatically transferred to the freelancer’s wallet within seconds.
¹Your spending limit depends on your availability limit that WorkGenius has approved for you. You may have also uploaded credits that can be used for payments. If you have any questions regarding your spending limit, please contact your Account Manager or Customer Success Manager, at any time.
