Got your first applications?
So you posted a WorkGenius project and have gotten a notification that a freelancer is interested–what now? The first thing we recommend is to act quickly–many of our freelancers are in demand, so evaluating their capabilities and coming to a quick decision is key.
Here’s how to ensure a successful booking
Open your booking directly from the homepage of your WorkGenius account.
- You’ll find a list of all the freelancers who have expressed an interest in your booking and are willing to start work immediately. This list will also include additional relevant information, such as their hourly rate and potential start date
- Click on any of those candidates to open up their full WorkGenius profile. Now you can take a closer look at their experience and skills
- If a candidate doesn’t fit your requirements, you can simply reject them by clicking on the button on the top right. It’s not personal, it’s just business! Also, this allows other qualified candidates to apply in their place (Only a total of 5 candidates can apply at any one time)
- If you like a candidate, send them a message–especially if they haven’t already reached out. You can chat about the project, exchange contact information, or start a video call
- Once you’ve decided who you want to work with, it’s time to tie them down with the click of the button labeled Book Genius. Now they can start working on your project
- By clicking Book Genius you are automatically entered into a contractual agreement that covers all relevant compliance aspects. Your booking would also be automatically updated with any terms that are subsequently agreed with the freelancer
Things to keep in mind
- Keep your candidate list up to date. Our freelancers are in demand and are always looking for their next opportunity–don’t give them an excuse to go somewhere else
- Keep your candidates informed. Sometimes, the hiring processes can take time. Keeping your candidates informed helps maintain their interest
